Bat Selector View File Here's a Bat Selector tool. Here's what the Readme file says: ----------------------------------------------------------- Spitoon's Bat Selector for MVP 2005 V 3.0 - May 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------- This is an entirely re-written version of the bat selector. I've changed the selection process to be a bit more flexible. Now you choose the plain bat first, and then decide to add pine tar or tape to it. I've also added a few more bats, and touched up some of the older ones. There are now 27 different bats to choose from, with 6 options each for a total of 162 bats in the library. Once the batch file is complete, it inserts your selections into the initstaz.big. Installation instructions: -------------------------- ********************************************************************************************************************* *************************************************IMPORTANT*********************************************************** If you have used my previous bat selectors, it is best that you delete the old /bmp folder before installing the new bat selector. All of the file names have changed and you will have duplicate .bmps if you don't. The program should still work, but it will take up a great deal more disk space if you don't delete the old /bmp folder. ********************************************************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************************************************* Other than that, installation is the same as in previous versions: 1) Unzip the entire contents of this zip into your MAIN MVP 2005 directory, the one with the MVP2005.EXE file. 2) Double click on Bat Selector.bat 3) It will reply with an ERROR message if you didn't install it in the proper directory **(WinME users see note below).** 4) Answer the questions. 5) Press Enter when asked by NFSHTool. 6) Play the game with your personalized bat selection. If you want to speed things up in future, right click on the Bat Selector.bat and choose Send To --> Desktop (create shortcut). Then you will have a shortcut to it right on your desktop. --------------------------------------------------- NOTES: -Please be advised that this batch file makes use of the same 'batch install method' that my previous bat sets used. I know a few people had problems getting it to work that way, so if you do, post a message and I'll see what I can do. -Make sure that you use the version of gfxpak.exe that I included with this zip, there is a version floating around out there that doesn't recognize all the commands that I use and will cause errors. -As in the past the batch file will check to make sure that was installed in the correct folder before proceeding (a common mistake). For some reason the error checking loop doesn't seem to work with WinME. If you are getting the "not installed in the right folder message" and you are sure it is in the right folder, simply open up the batch file (right click --> Edit) and delete the following two lines (right at the top of the batch file): IF NOT EXIST %1 DATA %1 GOTO ERROR IF NOT EXIST %1 MVP2005.EXE %1 GOTO ERROR Save the batch file and it should work. -I've replaced CHOICE.EXE with CHOICE.COM for those of you that use WinME. Apparently WinME didn't like CHOICE.EXE. CHOICE.COM works with both WinME and WinXP. ------------------------------------------------------ Enjoy!! Spitoon. MVP 2005 Data exporter and importer View File Here's a tool for exporting data and importing data. Here's the readme file info: MVP2005Exporter and MVP2005Importer v0.24 written by tywiggins released June 17, 2006 All of my programs required .NET Framework 2.0. Get it from microsoft.com If you like my programs, please make a paypal donation to tywiggins@hotmail.com Instructions: 1. Extract the files to some directory. 2. Run MVP2005 game and load a savegame or start a new dynasty/owner mode. 3. Press Control-Escape(or the windows key) or Alt-Tab. 4. double-click MVP2005Exporter. This should create new files in the same directory as MVP2005Exporter. 5. Now import these dat files into MVPedit and make any desired changes(or you can edit them in notepad or whatever doesn't mess with the structure of the file) 6. When done making changes in MVPedit export dat files into the same directory as MVP2005Importer. 7. double-click MVP2005Importer. This should load these files into MVP2005's memory. 8. switch back to MVP2005 and you should be able to see the changes. My exporter will read from MVP2005's memory and create .dat files. Then you can import these .dat files into MVPedit. When you are done editing, you export .dat files from MVPedit. Then use my importer to put these .dat files into MVP2005's memory. I will try to import hist.dat in the next version. If you want to update the rosters in your dynasty, you should follow the following steps: 1. Put the .dat files from the rosters into your Program Files\EA SPORTS\MVP Baseball 2005\data\database folder 2. Start a new dynasty. 3. Run the exporter. This will create all of the files that you need. 4. Now if you want to load a saved game or sim the entire season, or whatever do it now. 5. Then run the importer. Playoffs Creator View File This tool is for creating the playoffs in MVP Baseball 2005. Here's what the readme file says: PlayoffsCreator v0.99 written by tywiggins released June 13, 2006 This program requires that you have .NET Framework 2.0 installed. Extract the files to some directory. 2. Run MVP Baseball 2005 and start a new dynasty(or load a savedgame). 3. Go to the first round of the playoffs 4. Press Ctrl-Escape or Alt-Tab to minimize the game. 5. Run the PlayoffsCreator.exe, and follow the prompts. The prompts are pretty self explanatory. When the program asks you a question, type the number, then press enter. ----------------------------------------- Thanks to AlexTony. He gave me the idea. ----------------------------------------- NOTE: If you choose 2 team playoff you also need to run the program after the first round of the playoffs is over. ------------------------------------- If you choose 8 team playoff: The first round will be: Team1 vs Team2 Team3 vs Team4 Team5 vs Team6 Team7 vs Team8 Then the second round will be: Winner(Team1 vs Team2) vs Winner(Team3 vs Team4) Winner(Team5 vs Team6) vs Winner(Team7 vs Team8) Then the world series will be between the two teams that are left. ------------------------------------- If you choose 4 team playoff: The first round all 4 teams have byes. Then the second round will be: Team1 vs Team2 Team3 vs Team4 Then the world series will be between the two teams that are left. -------------------------------------- If you choose 2 team playoffs, the 2 teams (plus 2 other teams) have byes. You will need to run the program again after the first round is over to give the 2 teams a second round bye. When you run it the second time, you don't necessarily have to pick the same teams. But the teams you choose this time will be the teams that are left.
